I remember when I first met Ashley. She was this sweet girl who LOVED to race and tear up the dirt. We were friends almost instantly. A motorcycle community some how becomes a family with no words spoken. Right then right there. We spent the next year riding and racing all over Kansas, and when I met her fiance' Thomas, I knew with in a few minuets they were going to tie the knot. The way he looked at her, the fact that they never were apart for more than 5 minutes. Almost every time we were all together I would end up with tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard with them. They make each other LAUGH, which I think is so important in a relationship . Over the last couple of years watching them together made it even more clear that a proposal was soon approaching. Then it happened. The next time I saw Ashley at the track she stopped on her bike and threw her hand up in the air and said, LOOK! She was glowing and could not stop smiling.
I was over the moon when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. I was so honored to have the opportunity to capture their wedding day. To create a a story of their adoration for each other and their love for one another. They have so much passion for life and their relationship and I wanted to capture that for them as they so deserved it.
The Big day had arrived. A beautiful October day, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The sky was blue, pumpkins filled the scene, all the Mums were bloomed. There was a slight breeze in the air,
which carried the scent of the country. The smell of the venues fresh cut grass and the aroma of Mums that
were everywhere in site. When I found Ashley upstairs in the Bridal Suite she was ready. Really ready. She was counting down the minuets to when she would say I Do. All she kept talking about was becoming Mrs. Schwarz. She wasn’t worried about the reception or the details. She didn't want to stay up till 2 AM dancing, she wanted to say her vowels and become a wife to Thomas. Of course the one bride who was completely calm and not worried about one thing had one of the most seamless weddings I have ever been too. Everything
went perfect from morning to night.
After a long wedding day most couples sleep in the next day, but not these two! They were up at 5 AM the next morning loading up the bikes to make it to their race in another town in Kansas! The owners of the track from that race even made Ashley and Thomas their own special wedding trophy. It was TOO cute! Standing tall now in their home as husband and wife. How blessed I was to be able to spend the day with them and their friends and family at a beautiful venue. I can't wait to see where life takes them. Them and their dirt bikes ;)
